The first research department mainly focuses on such research directions as biomass gasification and cooking gas supplying system, biomass gasification technology for power generation, liquid fuel synthesis technology from biomass, biomass gasification technology in circulating fluidized bed. There are currently 12 employees, of whom there is 1 researcher, 3 associate researchers, 1 doctor. In the pilot-test base of Shandong Academy of Sciences there are two-step gasification test-bed and biomass gasification test-bed in circulating fluidized bed,and in Shiziyuan Village of Dongjia County of Licheng Area of pilot-test experimental base includes 200KW test-bed for biomass gasification technology for power generation and dimethyl ether pilot- test bed.
