Straws-to-Cooking Gas was realized by village cooking gas supplying system, which could successfully gasify the soft biomass of poor quality with lower density and higher ash content. After tar and dust were removed in clean system, the gas was distributed to each farmer's house through the pipeline network. Now over 300 systems covering about 60,000 households could consume 60,000 tons straws instead of 40,000 tons coal annually. Biomass gasification and cooking gas supplying technology has gained the National Technical Invention Award (Fourth Class) and the Advancement Award of Science and Technology in Shandong Province (First Class).
